WILSONVILLE, Ore. — A Wilsonville man was arrested for the murder of his father early Sunday morning, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) reported Monday.
Deputies responded Saturday to a home on South Ellis Road, south of Molalla, and found a man dead outside of the home. The man, identified as 70-year-old Michael James McCann of Molalla, appeared to have been shot multiple times, according to deputies.
Following an investigation by CCSO detectives, the Clackamas County SWAT team responded to the Wilsonville apartment of McCann's son, Michael Morris McCann, 34, and took him into custody early Sunday morning. He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail and faces charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. CCSO said he's being held without bail.
