Clark County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for a man who is accused of assaulting a family member with a golf club early Friday morning.

Deputies responded to a home on Northwest Division Avenue just before 1 a.m. The man showed up to the home unannounced and hit the victim multiple times with a golf club, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. The man left the area in a newer gray Mercedes-Benz that is believed to be a rental car.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, said he believed he had been assaulted by his uncle, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said. He was treated at a hospital for cuts to his head and face.

Deputies are investigating the assault, and have probable cause to arrest the suspect for assault in the first degree.
