PORTLAND, Ore. — Two teenagers were hospitalized Friday evening after Portland officers said they'd been shot at by another vehicle on Interstate 84.
Officers responded around 10:06 p.m. that two teenagers, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, had been shot in a vehicle on Interstate 84. Officers found doctors treating the teenagers, whose injuries were not life-threatening, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said.
In addition to patrol, the Focused Intervention Team was called to investigate. PBB said that preliminary investigation suggests that the two injured teenagers were in a car with other teenagers when someone from another vehicle shot at them.
Investigators do not believe it was a random shooting, PBB said, and no immediate arrests have been made.
