PORTLAND, Ore. — Police officers are looking for a suspect who shot and wounded a man in a North Portland hotel parking lot Thursday morning.
The shooting occurred at the Rodeway Inn on Hayden Island, at 1401 North Hayden Island Drive, just before 9 a.m.
Officers arrived and found a wounded man on the ground in the parking lot. Medics took him to a hospital. His injuries were life-threatening, police said.
Police said the suspect and victim knew each other and were in a confrontation before the shooting. There is no danger to the community, according to police.
Officers have not located the suspect. Police said witnesses gave them a description of the person but they were not ready to release it.
