Man shot dead in Southeast Portland identified

Police officers responded to reports of a person shot around 10:11 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Washington Street and Southeast 9th Avenue.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot and killed in Southeast Portland's Buckman neighborhood Sunday night. Police have not arrested anyone in the case.

On Aug. 18, police officers responded to reports of a person shot around 10:11 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Washington Street and Southeast 9th Avenue. Police officers found a man dead when they arrived. 

Portland police later identified the man killed as 45-year-old Donny M. Calabaza. The Medical Examiner said Calabaza died from a gunshot wound.

45-year-old Donny M. Calabaza was found shot dead in Southeast Portland's Buckman neighborhood around 10:11 p.m. on Aug. 18.

Portland police have not arrested anyone and no suspects have been detained. The bureau has not released any other details surrounding the deadly shooting.
