PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police continue to investigate an August homicide in Southeast Portland's Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood. On Tuesday, police released two photos of a person of interest riding a bike and asked the public to help identify the person.
On Aug. 19, officers responded to a call about a shooting in the parking lot of Division Center, a strip mall at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Division Street, and found a man who had been seriously injured. Paramedics tried to save the man's life, but he died at the scene.
The victim was later identified as Lorenzo U. Miranda, 50. The medical examiner's office confirmed that his death was a homicide, the result of a gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, police released two photos of a person of interest and asked the public to help identify them. PPB did not say the person is a suspect.
