PORTLAND, Ore. — The Clark County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) arrested nine people during a retail theft mission on Friday at a Target store in Hazel Dell, north of Vancouver, recovering more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise.
The operation involved the office's Tactical Detective Unit with assistance from the Special Investigations and Major Crimes units, patrol deputies and loss prevention staff from Target, according to a CCSO news release.
The suspects were arrested and booked in Clark County jail on various charges, including organized retail theft, forgery and other felonies, CCSO said. Many of the suspects had multiple prior warrants. Detectives also recovered drug paraphernalia and multiple weapons, along with the stolen merchandise.
The operation was the sheriff's office's fourth retail theft mission since June, according to the news release, and more missions are planned in the future.
