PORTLAND, Ore. — A "prolific" tagger in Portland was arraigned Thursday on 23 charges of criminal mischief, said Multnomah County's District Attorney's (DA) Office.

From July 2022 to November 2023, Aidan Saul, 22, is accused of vandalizing buildings and structures across the Portland metro using the tag "GEOMETRO," the DA said. Saul has pled not guilty on four counts of first-degree criminal mischief and 19 counts of second-degree criminal mischief.

In a search of Saul's residence in November during the investigation, Portland police said that "significant" evidence was seized. The case was presented to a grand jury, which returned a true bill of indictment last week.

So far, the DA suspects damage to properties to exceed $15,100. Of the 23 charges, damage assessments for 15 are still pending, the news release said.
