PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) is asking the public's help in finding a man who flashed a woman jogging on the Springwater Corridor in Southeast Portland.
On Sept. 4 at around 10:30 a.m., Portland police responded to reports of a sex crime near Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard and Southeast Brookside Drive. When officers arrived, they found a woman who reported an inappropriate and threatening interaction on the Springwater Corridor earlier that morning, according to PPB.
The jogger told police a man on a bike passed her and jumped into the bushes further up the trail. As she passed through the area, the man jumped from the bushes naked, and attempted to snatch her. She was able to get away from the man and ran for help.
Responding officers searched the area but weren't able to locate the suspect. Police described him as a white man in his 30s, standing 5-foot, 8-inches tall, with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing all black clothes and riding a bike with two backpacks.
