Police ask for help in locating man wanted in Oregon, Alabama for sex crimes against children

Adam Renk is wanted for sex crimes against a 12-year-old and 11-year-old in Oregon and Mobile, Alabama.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Warning: Some of the details in this story may be disturbing to readers.

Oregon State Police and the Mobile Police Department in Alabama are seeking the public's help in locating a man wanted in both states for sex crimes against children.

Adam Renk, 39, was last seen leaving Alabama on Aug. 7. According to OSP, Renk has ties to Oregon and Wasco County. He is believed to be traveling in a converted Ford Ambulance that is now painted to be "two-toned white over gray" with the Oregon license plate number 353JWK. Renk is a white man, 6-foot-1, weighs roughly 175 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair.

Renk has been charged with first-degree unlawful penetration, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse involving a 12-year-old in Oregon. OSP detectives became aware of Renk after the child disclosed the sexual abuse.

During the investigation, OSP detectives learned that Renk had also been charged with child sexual abuse and torture involving an 11-year-old in Mobile, Alabama. According to OSP, the children are not related. 

Alabama law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshals Service have been attempting to locate Renk, who posted bond in Alabama and was released from pre-trial custody.
