Suspect identified in fatal bar shooting in St. Johns neighborhood

Police are looking for Harold “Bob” Dulaney, 53, who is considered armed and dangerous. He is a suspect in a fatal shooting at a bar in the St. Johns neighborhood.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting at a bar in the St. Johns neighborhood on Feb. 5.

Police are looking for Harold “Bob” Dulaney, 53, who is 6 feet, 3 inches tall, 260 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is known to walk in a hunched posture and uses a cane. 

He is considered armed and dangerous, police said. If spotted, do not approach and call 911.

Around the time of the shooting, Dulaney was wearing a black winter coat with gray accents on the shoulders. Police did not say if they expect him to still be in these clothes.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, around 9:39 p.m., detectives responded to reports of a shooting at bar on North Lombard Street, between Baltimore and North Alta avenues. When they arrived, they found 57-year-old Charles Hassel dead from a gunshot wound. 

Police have not provided any information about what led up to the shooting.
