PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have identified the man who was shot and killed in a Southeast Portland parking lot Monday afternoon as 31-year-old Benjamin Taylor Johnson.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office has said the cause of death was homicide by gunshot wound.
The shooting occurred around 3 p.m. in the 3300 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Portland police.
On Thursday, Apr. 2, Portland Police arrested 22-year-old Joseph David Schneider in connection to Johnson's death.
Schneider has been charged with one count of Murder in the First Degree and one count of Robbery in the First Degree, Portland Police said.
