PORTLAND, Ore. — One person was injured in a stabbing in downtown Portland on Monday evening, police said.
Around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Southeast Park Avenue and Southwest Yamhill Street. At the scene, officers found a man who had been stabbed several times. The man was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the suspect was gone by the time officers arrived. Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau's Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident. Police said detectives have canvassed the area for witnesses and retrieved surveillance video.
