MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The Milwaukie Police Department confirmed Friday that one of its employees has been placed on paid administrative leave amid a criminal investigation by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
In a release, the department said it was made aware of the investigation into Sgt. Jon Foreman on June 25. Foreman was immediately suspended from duties and placed on leave.
A spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KGW on Friday that Foreman was the subject of an active investigation, which began following a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about child sexual abuse material.
As of Friday, no criminal charges had been filed against Foreman.
The police department said it is fully committed to cooperating and has also opened an internal affairs investigation into the matter.
