Man shot in Vancouver, expected to survive

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A man was shot Tuesday morning in Vancouver. He's expected to survive, the Vancouver Police Department told KGW.

Police said a white SUV was reported in the area at the time of the shooting but they reported no other suspect information. No arrests have been made.

Officers responded around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to a report that shots were fired near Northeast 28th Street and 138th Avenue. Vancouver police said they believe the shooting happened behind the parking lot of the Vancouver Clinic Business Office.

After the shooting, the victim walked into a nearby convenience store near the intersection of Northeast 28th Street and 138th Avenue and said he'd been shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police did not identify the victim.

Officers are on scene and investigating. Vancouver police did not say if any roads are closed during the investigation.

No other details were provided.
