Man hospitalized after hit-and-run crash in North Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man is in the hospital after a driver hit him in North Portland's Kenton neighborhood early Thursday morning. Portland police are investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.

Officers responded around 2:35 a.m. to a report of a man injured in the street on North Columbia Boulevard and North Argyle Way. First responders took the man, who is believed to have life-threatening injuries, to a hospital. 

Portland police did not immediately find the driver involved and has not released a suspect description.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is investigating. Police closed North Columbia Boulevard between North Interstate Place and North Peninsular Avenue, but it has reopened.

Anyone with information about the crash who hasn't yet talked to Portland police is asked to send an email to crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov, addressed to the Traffic Investigations Unit and reference case number 24-172226.
