PORTLAND, Oregon — A man has been arrested Thursday for killing a man in North Tabor back in May, Portland police said.
Officers arrested Alexander E. Warren, 35, for the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Jessie Lavell Marks Sr. on May 24. Warren was arrested near 7100 Southeast Division Street. He has been charged with second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
Marks's family has been notified of the arrest, Portland police said.
Around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, officers received a report of a shooting on Northeast Glisan in the North Tabor neighborhood around 55th Avenue, just blocks from Providence Portland Medical Center.
When they arrived, officers found Marks dead at the scene. The medical examiner's office later confirmed that Marks's death was a homicide by gunshot wound.
