PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have identified a man who was shot and killed in Portland's Sabin Neighborhood over the weekend.
On Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2:01 a.m., Portland police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of shots fired in the 4500 block of Northeast 20th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man, identified on Oct. 31 as 22-year-old Leno Batista-Guzman, dead inside a vehicle parked on the curbline of the street.
The suspect or suspects were no longer at the scene and no immediate arrests were made.
The medical examiner determined that Batista-Guzman died from a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the case.
