PORTLAND, Ore. — One male is dead after a shooting in downtown Portland early Sunday, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
At around 2:41 a.m. Portland police officers assigned to the Central Precinct’s Entertainment District Detail heard shots fired near West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue. When officers responded they found a man in a parking lot dead, Portland police said.
The identity of the man has not yet been released to the public. The suspect or suspects left the area and no arrests have been made.
Portland police said the Portland Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are investigating the shooting. During the investigation, West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue were closed.
