PORTLAND, Ore. — A Gresham man was arrested and faces multiple abuse charges, including child sex abuse and strangulation, Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) reported Friday. WCSO said multiple victims have been identified, and they believe there are more victims and witnesses.

The man, 23-year-old Marquise D. Brazile, was arrested Wednesday and is being held at the Washington County Jail.

He faces the following charges: Two counts of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of first-degree encouraging of child sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, attempted unlawful possession of a machine gun, two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of strangulation, menacing and fourth-degree assault.

During an investigation, detectives found Brazile had "assaulted and strangled an underage girl" in Washington County on multiple occasions, WCSO said. He also threatened her with a gun and created and shared explicit videos of her.

On Feb. 22, detectives tracked Brazille to his home in Gresham, where they found a stolen handgun.

According to WCSO, Brazille has been involved in multiple police investigations, including ones in Portland, Gresham and Beaverton. He has previously been involved with multiple shooting and "serious" assaults, such as statutory rape cases.

Detectives believe there are more victims and witnesses to crimes allegedly committed by Brazille. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2700.
