PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot late Sunday night in Northeast Portland and later died at the hospital, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) reported.
The shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the intersection of Northeast 55th Avenue and Hassalo Street. When officers arrived, they found a man who'd been shot. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police said no suspects were detained and no arrests have been made.
On Thursday, Portland police identified the man killed as 30-year-old Aaron McInnis. The Medical Examiner said McInnis died from gunshot wounds. His family has been notified of his death.
Northeast Hassalo Street between 55th Avenue and 57th Avenue was closed during the investigation. Northeast 55th Avenue was also closed between Hassalo Street and Irving Street.

Man injured in shooting in Southeast Portland
At 3:50 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Southeast Taylor Street near 20th Avenue. They found a man inside a parked vehicle who'd been shot. Police said the man lives in the vehicle. Officers performed medical treatment and the man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Enhanced Community Safety Team is investigating the shooting. No arrests were made and police did not release any suspect information.
