3 dead, including suspect, in double homicide in Washington County

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said a man shot and killed two people during an argument and then shot himself.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oregon — A man shot and killed two people during an argument Wednesday night outside a home in unincorporated Washington County and then shot himself, the Washington County Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies responded Wednesday night around 8 p.m. to a home, located at 23885 Southwest Scholls Ferry Road. They found two people dead outside the home. Both had been shot.

Deputies also found another person outside the home, 46-year-old Carlos Jimenez-Vargas, who appeared to have shot himself. Jimenez-Vargas was taken to the hospital where he later died.

"During the investigation, detectives learned that Jimenez-Vargas shot two people during an argument before killing himself," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
