PORTLAND, Ore. — A man has been arrested for a deadly crash that killed two women near St. Paul in 2023.

On Friday, a grand jury indicted Porfirio Perez Martinez, who resides in Clackamas County, on two counts of criminal negligent homicide related to the crash at the intersection of McKay Road Northeast and Case Road Northeast, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said.

An initial investigation showed that Martinez, while driving a box truck, left his lane and collided with a black Buick. The driver of the car, Lisa Rohrer-Boylan, died at the scene. Her passenger, Joan Rohrer, was transported to the hospital via LifeFlight, where she later died from her injuries.

Martinez was transported to the nearby Newberg Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, MCSO said.

He was arrested Friday and lodged at the Marion County Jail.
