PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was arrested Tuesday in connection to an Oct. 8 shooting in downtown Portland that left a man dead, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) reported.
Saul Villatoro Escoto Eldibrando was shot the night of Oct. 8 at the intersection of Southwest 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Portland. He later died at the hospital. He was 34 years old.
The medical examiner ruled that Eldibrando died of homicide by gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, PPB officers arrested 47-year-old Demetrius D. Vaughn of Portland. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center and faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
