Woman killed in deadly hit-and-run; Albany police seek vehicle involved

Officers are asking the public's help finding a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman on Dec. 10. The vehicle is a dark-colored pickup truck.

The Albany Police Department is seeking any information on the pictured vehicle. They believe it to be a mid-1980s to mid 1990s dark colored, single cab pickup truck, possibly a Nissan.

ALBANY, Ore — The Albany Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman on Saturday.

Officers from the Albany Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian near Heritage Mall just after 4 a.m. Police said that the crash happened at 1500 Geary Street Southeast, near the intersection with 14th Avenue Southeast.

The victim, 30-year-old Alexandria Lee Mulrooney of Albany, was found lying in the middle of the road around 4:22 a.m. Police said she was pronounced dead at the scene despite multiple life-saving efforts. 

The driver involved fled the scene, though the vehicle sustained front end damage.

Police identified the involved vehicle as follows:

  • Dark colored
  • Mid-1980s to mid-1990s 
  • Single cab pickup truck
  • Possibly a Nissan
