CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Two men died when an alleged DUII driver ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles Saturday night on Highway 224 near Milwaukie, Oregon State Police reported Sunday.
Fullington William Frazer III, 22, of Oregon City was arrested and faces multiple charges, including manslaughter, DUII, reckless driving and reckless endangering.
The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday on westbound Highway 224 near Southeast Freeman Way. According to police, Frazer, driving a Dodge Caliber, ran a red light and crashed into a Subaru Forester and a Toyota Prius. The Subaru then crashed into a steel utility pole.
The driver of the Subaru, 37-year-old Fleetwood Mars Mozee, of Multnomah, and the passenger in the Caliber, 24-year-old Mitchell Scott Barr, of Milwaukie, both died at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Prius were not hurt.
Frazer was injured and taken to the hospital. He was arrested and faces manslaughter, DUII and other charges.
Police closed Highway 224 for about seven hours. OSP said it was assisted by the Milwaukie Police Department, Clackamas County Fire, Clackamas County Medical Examiner and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
