SHERIDAN, Oregon — Two people are dead and two others are critically injured after a crash on Highway 18 near Sheridan.
The highway is closed two miles east of Sheridan. This could be a lengthy closure as law enforcement investigates. A detour has been set up with all cars being diverted to Gopher Valley Road.
Sheridan, SW Polk, and West Valley Fire Department crews responded to the scene at 7:30pm.
Officials say this is the third fatality near this location in the last six months.
