19 year old dead, 1 injured in shooting near Estacada

ESTACADA, Ore — The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on a highway near Estacada that left a 19-year-old woman dead and a man injured.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting on Highway 211 near South Poplar Road on Monday, around 10:50 p.m. There, deputies found a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the hand and was transported to a local hospital. They also found a 19-year-old woman who had been fatally shot. 

Both victims had been traveling southbound on Highway 211 in a red Jeep Cherokee, according to a news release from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives believe the suspects were driving a silver Toyota Corolla or Camry with Oregon plates and fired several shots at the victims while traveling in the same direction on Highway 211, police said.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has identified the 19-year-old woman as Emily Rose Taylor of Mulino, as well as the injured man as Jacob Allen Cutts of Estacada.
