PORTLAND, Ore. — A man sustained potentially life-threatening injuries in a shooting Thursday afternoon in a Lloyd Center parking garage in Northeast Portland.
As of Friday, the victim remains hospitalized with critical injuries and no arrests have been made, police said. According to their investigation, the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no public safety risk in visiting the Lloyd Center mall or surrounding area.
Police dispatch records show a call reporting a shooting at 1 p.m., Thursday, in the 2200 block of Lloyd Center, near the intersection of Northeast Multnomah Street and Northeast 11th Avenue. Portland Police Bureau Public Information Manager Mike Benner said the shooting took place in a parking garage.
Benner confirmed officers who responded to the scene found the victim. The shooting suspect or suspects had already left by the time police arrived.
