STAYTON, Ore. — A suspect has been arrested and faces murder charges after a man was found dead in Stayton early Friday evening.
At 4:22 pm, officers from the Stayton Police Department responded to a possible assault call in the 1200 block of West Locust Street. When they arrived, they found a man, 55-year-old Curtis Nathan Longfellow, dead.
A suspect, 30-year-old Skylair James Gendhar, was identified and taken into custody. He is being charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon and will be taken to Marion County Jail.
