WALDPORT, Ore. — A teen in Waldport, Ore. found a thin metal object embedded in a candy bar received from trick-or-treating, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 5 p.m. on Nov. 1, an 18-year-old girl from Waldport, Ore. reported finding what appeared to be a needle in a Twix candy bar. The candy was received while trick-or-treating on Halloween night in the South Crestline Drive area in Waldport, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon close examination, deputies witnessed a thin metal object embedded in the candy bar, consistent with the reported possible needle.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said the teen does not have any injuries from the object found inside the candy bar, and an investigation into the suspicious circumstance is ongoing.
