PORTLAND, Ore. — April 7th is National Beer Day, and although many celebrations of various holidays are being canceled around the world right now, this is one holiday we can still celebrate - at home!
National Beer Day is celebrated in honor of the ending of prohibition, back on April 7, 1933. For the first time in 13 years, people could legally purchase low strength beer and wine. Cheers to that!
Eric Steen is a Portland beer expert. Here are his three picks for Northwest beers to enjoy on National Beer Day, that you can find easily and safely.
- Portland Lager - Portland Brewing - easy drinking lager (find this one in your neighborhood grocery or convenience store)
- Mr. Nice - Little Beast Brewing - passionfruit sour beer (you can order this online and have it delivered to you!)
- Blazing Bright - Pyramid Brewing - hazy IPA (find it in the grocery store)
New School Beer also put together a full list of all the Oregon breweries offering beer delivery right now. You can find that list here.
