Clackamas County ordered to spend $120K reprinting ballots

The Oregon Secretary of State ordered Clackamas County to reprint their May 18th election ballots, due to an error.

SALEM The Oregon Secretary of State ordered Clackamas County to reprint their May 18th election ballots, due to an error.

The Position 3 Commissioner s seat is on the Clackamas County ballot but it shouldn t be. Instead, that position should appear on the November ballot.

Reprinting the ballots would cost around $120,000 and Clackamas County was appealing the decision due to the high cost.

Ballots have already gone out to overseas, military and absentee voters.

A ruling was expected Wednesday afternoon.
