PORTLAND -- A grand jury indicted two men Thursday in the Nov. 1 slaying of an east Portland woman.

A Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Corey Hill and Antonio Lorenzo Sanders Jr., both 21, for the murder of 24-year-old Precious Jackson, police said.

Hill and Sanders were already in custody on unrelated charges at the time of the indictment, according to police.

Jackson was found dead outside Laurel Place Apartments at Southeast 124th Avenue and Powell Court at about 1:30 a.m. Residents reported shots fired shortly before her body was found. Police set up a dragnet in the neighborhood. An ensuing car chase with a suspect ended when their vehicle crashed near Gilbert Park. Four men escaped on foot.
