Widmer Brothers Brewing said the pub was no longer financially sustainable after more than 20 years in business.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Widmer Brothers pub closed its doors for good Tuesday.

Seven employees were laid off from the company. Those workers will leave with severance packages, Widmer Brothers said.

The brewery still plans to give public tours and will offer revamped tours starting in February.

The pub first opened in 1996.
