PORTLAND, Ore. — Two restaurants and pubs owned by former Portland brewer Ex Novo are now operating under new ownership.

Lazy Days Brewing, a recently launched ownership group, held grand opening events at Ex Novo's former locations in North Portland, at 2326 N. Flint Ave., and in Beaverton, at 4505 S.W. Watson Ave., last week.

"We've worked hard over the last month with Ex Novo to keep the lights on for a smooth transition and to keep staff employed, but we are new and we are ready to fully introduce ourselves to you!" Lazy Days posted on Instagram.

The new owners are converting the properties' branding and promise continuity for the businesses' offerings and atmosphere.

The transition from Ex Novo was previously reported in the Oregonian.

Ex Novo formerly produced about 10,000 barrels of beer annually, according to the Portland Business Journal's list of Oregon's largest craft breweries. But founder Joel Gregory relocated to New Mexico and put the company's properties up for sale last year.

The Oregonian reported that the new owners will also continue to contract brew Ex Novo beers in Portland.
