PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon college graduates continue to make more money each year.
Or, at least those who attend the 10 schools where grads make the highest average starting salaries. Those figures, for 2019, came in at $51,866. In 2016, a similar study suggested that, at 21 Oregon higher ed institutions, the figure was $33,595.
The average Oregon student paid $16,650 in yearly tuition in 2018, according to SmartAsset, the New York-based research and personal finance advisement firm.
The firm studied Oregon's salary haul for new grads. Above is a look at the schools as they rank by average starting salaries. For a point of reference, we included their yearly tuition in the mix. The numbers come from the U.S. Department of Education as well as Payscale.com.
