The young lemur jumped around, played, and ate snacks throughout the episodes.

Jovian's many fans, including many kids of the 90s, were saddened to hear of his death, and immediately began posting memories of him on social media.

Jovian's co-host, Martin Kratt, wrote on Facebook that the lemur used to "jump in through the window and we'd feed him mangoes or garbanzo beans. Sometimes he'd grab our noses with those soft sifaka hands."

The overwhelming response to his death initially crashed the Duke Lemur Center's website. Now the obituary is back online, and the center is asking friends and fans of the famous lemur to submit their memories.
