With a holiday based on dressing up and scaring people, there's bound to be some failed attempts. Luckily, thanks to the internet, there is proof of these Halloween fails.
Pinterest compiled some of the worst Halloween costume attempts in a board titled "Halloween: Nailed It!" The fails range from awkward, to scary, and just plain sad.
First, this has to be the worst Iron Man costume ever. According to CollegeHumor, the outfit still took two days to put together. Sad.
This one might ruin Sesame Street for you forever. Bert and Ernie in the creepiest masks possible. At least they have a rubber ducky.
Here's an example of a Pinterest idea that was cute in theory, but failed a little in the execution.
Now here's my own Halloween fail. Back in 2009, I was in college in Boston. My friends and I went trick-or-treating at Senator John Kerry's house (he gave out the king size bars!), and took a picture with him. Of course, we posted the picture on Facebook.
The next day, the photo had turned into a full-page article in the Boston Herald, titled "Halloween (Eye) Candy."
"Our senior senator was captured in yet another embarrassing Kodak moment with a couple of Emerson College students," read the article. "You would think by now, Sen. John Kerry would have learned to avoid co-eds packing Instamatics!"
How embarrassing!
