Portland celebrates its 4th annual Black Restaurant Week

Black Restaurant Week in Portland from Feb. 23 through March 3 celebrates its fourth year highlighting Portland-based Black-owned food establishments.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Black Restaurant Week in Portland celebrates its fourth year starting at the end of this week. The annual restaurant event, from Feb. 23 to March 3, gives customers a chance to take a culinary tour of Portland-based Black-owned establishments.

The event showcases Black-owned restaurants across the Northwest region as part of a national campaign, which runs through March 3. The campaign highlights Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, catering services and more.

More than a dozen restaurants are participating in this year's event across the Portland metro and Seattle metro area; including Grits N' Gravy, a Portland staple for Southern cuisine.
