PDX Sliders named top food cart in Portland by Yelp

Popular customer review service Yelp has come out with a list naming the “Top 40 Food Carts in Portland," a city that prides itself on food made in kitchens on wheels.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Popular customer review service Yelp has come out with a list naming the “Top 40 Food Carts in Portland," a city that prides itself on food made in kitchens on wheels.

The list was based on food types and price points, but most importantly the volume and quality of customer reviews.

And a cart parked in Sellwood is at the top of the list. PDX Sliders, which specializes in an eclectic and interesting variety of hand crafted sliders, was named the best food cart in Portland.

“As far as Yelp’s concerned they’re the best in the city; they have 266 reviews with a five-star average”, said Matt Eyman, Yelp’s Community Manager in Portland.

Ryan Rollins started PDX Sliders two and a half years ago, and has a loyal following and growing business. Along with the cart at 8064 SE 17th Ave., he’s added two trucks that cater special events.

He says their success is based on good food and solid service.

“We try to go above and beyond for the customers who come here and spend their money. We know what it’s like to try and earn a buck so we really appreciate everyone who comes and patronizes us continually,” said Rollins.

For Yelp, Eyman says the top 40 list represents the best of what its online service and app are about.

“This list just shows that the community is eager to share love for the places they really care about” said Eyman.

Yelp’s app currently receives 23 million unique views per month.
