OREGON, USA — Frito-Lay issued a recall on some bags of its Lay’s Classic Potato Chips due to milk being undeclared on the label.
Consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities should not eat the product and should immediately discard it.
The 13-ounce bags of Lay's Classic Potato Chips were distributed to some retail and e-commerce stores in Oregon and Washington, and these chips could have been purchased from as early as Nov. 3, according to the company. A consumer contact alerted them to the issue.
No allergic reactions have been reported, and no other Lay's products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are recalled.
The company has informed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and said customers who bought the product can contact its customer relations line at 1-800-352-4477. It is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.
