Two gray wolves killed in Washington, $10,000 reward offered for information

One wolf was killed in Klickitat County, and another was killed in Okanogan County.

WASHINGTON, USA — Two local agencies are investigating the illegal killings of two wolves in Washington State, and one agency is offering a reward for information on the killings.

According to a press release from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (UFWS), it and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) said two federally-listed gray wolves were illegally killed.

UFWS said one adult male wolf was killed on October 6 east of the Klickitat River near Highway 142 and Goldendale in Klickitat County. UFWS also said an adult female wolf was found dead southwest of Twisp in Okanogan County two weeks later.

UFWS said the department is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest, criminal conviction or civil penalty assessment for each case.
