BEAVERTON, Ore. — It's that time of year again, the KGW Great Toy Drive is back!
Rod Hill visited three local businesses and delivered their toy drive collection kits. He even dropped off a few toys of his own.
Accurate Auto, Rodda Paint and StarCycle are all doing their part by collecting toys that will be distributed to over 130 local nonprofits. They all agreed that it's one of the best ways to give back to the local community.
Rod asked each for their best pitch to get other businesses involved, here's what they came up with:
"The holidays are magical for children most of all. The season is about giving so you never know whose live you're going to affect by getting involved with something like this," said Megan with StarCycle.
"It's just too easy. We get our collection kits, we set them up, you bring your toys and donate them. We do the parade of toys every year. It's an incredible experience," said Sarah with Rodda Paint.
"Every business is a part of their community so if you sign up for this toy collection that gives you the ability to impact your community... I want to see everybody from North Portland to South Portland all come together and really get a lot of toys," said Rick with Accurate Auto.
There's good news: It's not too late to become a collection site! Sign up at kgwtoy.com.
