One-of-a-kind Seattle estate for sale has room for you and your train collection

Train pavilion is a must-see space on this property. It houses over 480 trains for the owner. The trains are negotiable in the price.

SEATTLE — There are lots of homes for sale in Seattle - but none are like this.

"When I first walked through the property, I was almost speechless. The level of quality and detail at this property, I've never seen before," said Steve Snider, a broker with Real Residential. "The name of the property is Elford West Edge. This is North Seattle. We're close to the border of Shoreline. The property is just under 2.5 acres, and it has 300 linear feet of waterfront. The big things about this property is you have this massive over 180-degree view of the Puget Sound, and it's front and center. And then that graduates up to the Olympic Mountain range."

The views were top of mind when the layout for the estate was designed.

"The architect for this home is the same that did Bill Gates's house," said Snider. "This is an expansive, great room with over 70 windows just in this one room, and the whole room is oriented westward towards the view towards the Olympics. You have more of a formal living room with a fireplace on the south side of the home. And then in between is the kitchen space and the dining. So, you'll notice there are three islands with flamed granite countertops. There's dual flanking SubZero refrigeration, and then Wolf ovens and they're completely symmetrical and on either side. All the framing of the home is exposed. So this is very different than your typical construction; you cannot see a single piece of drywall in this room."

Elford West Edge is made up of serval different structures on the 2.5-acre property.

That attention to detail cares on upstairs as well.

"We're here in that primary bedroom of the property. You've got a gas fireplace. Just off the primary is the en suite bath that has a jetted soaking soaking tub and a walk-in shower," Snider said.

Don't like to do laundry? This room may change your mind.

"Every single room in the house has a view, including the laundry room. So, the laundry room has a fantastic view. It's actually the sunroom and it is a very pleasant place to do laundry."

But the must-see space on this property is the train pavilion.

"It houses a little over 480 trains for the owner," said Snider "This train track allows for three trains to be run simultaneously and allows for two trains to run outside of the train pavilion over to the south. The trains can get a great view of the Puget Sound as well. If the next owner showed interest and keeping the train track and some of the trains, I don't know that anything could thrill the current owner more than that."

It may be out of reach for most, but whoever buys Elford West Edge will be the new stewards of a one-of-a-kind estate.

"If dreaming, creativity, and patience were put in a bottle, this would be the result," Snider said.

Elford West Edge is currently on the market for $11.750,000
