PORTLAND, Ore. — It's officially the end of July, which means we're close to the final stretch of summer — August! With many festivities across town and celebrations, there are a ton of options to fill up your weekend.

Where: Multiple locations in Milwaukie area
What's going on: The 5th annual Milwaukie Porch Festival returns! The community is invited to walk or bike around Milwaukie neighborhoods to find different performers performing on porches, driveways and public spaces around Milwaukie. The festival is free.

Where: Westside Commons, 801 Northeast 34th Avenue, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124
What's going on: From animal shows to carnival entertainment and concerts, there's a lot to do at the Washington County Fair. This year's fair will be held from July 19-28, and will include performances from Oregon's Jacquie Roar and "American Idol" finalist David Hernandez. In addition to musical performances, popular films will be screened at 8 p.m., including "The Incredibles" on July 21 and "Kung Fu Panda 4" on July 23. Admission is free.

What's going on: Calling all sneakerheads! Portland sneakerheads are uniting for the KIC-OFF Festival this from July 26 to August 1. A three-day premier sneaker event where sneaker fans can gain knowledge, learn of the innovation and culture around sneakers, the festival aims to establish Portland as the true sneakerhead capital of the world.

Where: North Park Blocks, 235 Northwest Park Avenue Portland, Oregon
What's going on: Backwoods Brewing Company and Deschutes Brewery are teaming up to bring you PearlFest: a two-day event with over 20 breweries and cideries gathering to bring you the best beer and cider in Oregon. The festival will also include local artists, vendors and bands vibing out. Tickets range from $35 to $50, which come with souvenir mug and eight drink tokens.

What's going on: Wasabi Con is Portland's pop culture event for fans of cosplay, anime, gaming and everything "geek." The event will feature celebrity guests, local artists, exhibitors, gaming, panels, contests and more. The event is for all ages with content presented for older attendees in the evening.

What's going on: Hood River Lavender Farms is hosting their 21st annual Lavender Daze Festival this weekend. The festival will feature live music, food, local artists and u-pick lavender. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday with live music from 3-5 p.m. This is their last weekend hosting this festival, so don't delay.

What's going on: Looking for ways to stay cool this summer? Portland Mercury and Jim Beam have you covered as their Summer of Slushies celebration is underway. Every day through July 31, slushy lovers can enjoy boozy, frozen, custom-made slushies at participating locations across the Rose City for only $8 each. Talk about a deal!

What's going on: Grab your blankets and some snacks: Comedy in the Park is back for another year. Every Friday this summer, the nonprofit Kickstand will be hosting a free stand-up show at Laurelhurst Park. According to their Instagram post, Portlanders can expect PDX favorites and even surprise guests. The shows run every week from June 7 to Sept. 6.
