PORTLAND, Ore. — Where has the time gone? We are officially headed into the third weekend of March, another week closer to summer, meaning more to do across the Rose City.
This weekend, you've got options for things to do in Portland as most St. Patrick's Day festivities commence. There's the Shamrock Run if you're feeling like Forrest Gump, Kells Irish Festival, Portland's St. Patrick's Day parade and much more. No matter what you're in the mood for, there's something for everyone.

Shamrock Run
When: March 17
Where: Tom McCall Waterfront Park, 98 Southwest Naito Parkway, Portland
What's going on: Known for attracting more than 20,000 participants, the Shamrock Run returns to the Rose City for its annual event. It's Oregon's largest running and walking event, according to the group. The event holds an array of races at a variety of distances with a traditional finish-line festival at McCall Waterfront Park.

Kells Saint Patrick's Irish Festival
When: March 15-17
Where: Tom McCall Waterfront Park, 98 Southwest Naito Parkway, Portland
What's going on: Renowned as the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in Oregon, the annual Kells Irish Festival attracts celebrants from all over. This year, the festival will take place over the course of two weekends. It will also collaborate with the Shamrock Run event on Sunday at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

St. Patrick's Day Parade
When: March 17, 1 p.m.
Where: Beverly Cleary School, Northeast Hancock Street and 33rd Avenue, Portland
What's going on: Portland's St. Paddy's Day parade returns to the streets this year live and in person. The parade is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at Beverly Clearly School near Northeast Hancock Street and 33rd Avenue.

Paddy's Saint Patrick's Day Festival
When: March 16-17
Where: Paddy's Bar & Grill, 65 Southwest Yamhill Street, Portland
What's going on: This year the festival will feature Guiness beer, Irish food specials, Kilbeggan Irish whiskey, Irish dancers, bagpipers and live music. The pub opens at 11 a.m. on Saturday and the tent opens at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the pub is open at 9 a.m. and the tent opens an hour later. Tickets are $25 at the door.

St. Paddy's Palooza at Punch Bowl Social
When: March 15-17 (the Palooza is on March 16)
Where: Punch Bowl Social, 340 Southwest Morrison Street, Suite 4305, Portland
What's going on: All weekend at Punch Bowl Social, there will be spirits galore featuring Tullamore D.E.W., and Irish dishes on the menu. The St. Paddy's Palooza is on Saturday. It features a treasure hunt for prizes and other surprises, and revelers can play games, including bowling, karaoke, cornhole, darts or board games. Admission is free with an RSVP.

St. Patricks' Day Celebration at McMenamins
When: March 15-17
Where: McMenamins Kennedy School, 5736 Northeast 33rd Avenue, Portland
What's going on: They'll be celebrating all weekend long with events featuring live music and bagpipers, and Irish food and drink specials. On Saturday, the Murray Irish Dancers and Two Rivers Céilí Band will perform. On Sunday, the Stomptowners and Yeates Academy Dancers perform. Advance tickets are also available for a performance in the theater by Celtic Light Orchestra on Sunday night.

Portland St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
When: March 16-17
Where: Multiple different venues
What's going on: The annual St. Patrick's Day Bar Crawl in Portland gives revelers access and drink discounts at multiple different venues. Make sure to dress in green and rally your friends, bouncing from bar to bar with hundreds of others. Participating bars include Triple Nickle Pub, The Vern, Foreland Beer Study, La Patroncita, Bare Bones Cafe + Bar, Belmont Inn, Mulligan's Bar & Grill, The Nest Lounge and more.

St. Patrick's Day Drag Brunch
When: March 17
Where: Clarklewis, 1001 Southeast Water Avenue, Portland
What's going on: Watch a St. Patrick's themed show at Clarklewis, featuring host Donatella Nobody and DJ Aurora, and the long-awaited return of co-host Bolivia Carmichaels. Enjoy hand-crafted seasonal brunch fare and cocktails. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the show starting at noon.

Feminist March 2024
When: Every day though March 31
Where: Hollywood Theatre, 4122 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, Portland
What's going on: It's officially Women's History Month, and what better way to highlight the contribution of women by attending the Hollywood Theatre's Feminist March month-long film screening event? All month long, the theatre will screen films celebrating women in film, with 19 films featured. A few featured films include Dreamgirls, Certain Women, Bring It On, Wonder Woman and more. Tickets start at $10.
