PORTLAND, Ore. — This week will kick off the official start of summer, and the weather is looking pretty nice from here. This weekend, many will be outside enjoying the first few days of summer, which has everyone buzzing.

Our Corner of the Sky: Pride on Broadway
When: June 22, 7 p.m.
Where: Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 Southwest Broadway, Portland, Ore.
What's going on: Portland Gay Men's Chorus and the Oregon Symphony come together for a musical Broadway style celebration of LGBTQ+ life, love, family and perseverance with "Our Corner of the Sky: Pride on Broadway" in concert. The concert is described to present a dazzling feature of music of Broadway with show stopping musical tunes.

What's going on: Portland Beer Week returns with its 10-day celebration of beer in one of the greatest beer cities on earth — Portland. Events across the Rose City will showcase beers and the people that make them, along with food pairing experiences. Bars and breweries will also have beer specials and limited-edition brews. What's going on: RENAIDDANCE is a celebration of Act I & II of Queen B’s "Renaissance." Celebrating the ballroom, country, disco and techno scenes that inspired it all. Expect to hear all of your favorite songs from Beyoncé and more! DJ @timothy.bee and @djsappho will be playing bringing the Texas heat to the Rose City. Come on down in your finest country fashions, or "Renaissance" theme chrome looks. Hit your "Riverdance" or get down with your "Virgo's Groove" moves.

Where: Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 South State Street, Lake Oswego, Ore.
What's going on: This free art festival is celebrating it's 61st year. The theme this year is "Imagine That." The festival features music, food, youth activities and more. It will also feature the music from Robert Henry and the Repeaters and Oregon's very own NBC's "The Voice" alum Jacquie Roar. There will also be immersive exhibits and interactive activities for the whole family. The festival will take place at two locations: Lakewood Center for the Arts and George Rogers Park.

Where: Rontoms, 600 East Burnside, Portland, Ore.
What's going on: Popular Portland bar Rontoms will be hosting its weekly music series "Sunday Sessions." Portland punk band Nonbinary Girlfriend known for their latest album "Big And Kind" will be performing their hits. California based indie rock trio Girl Fiend will be opening up for the punk band. So, get out the house, grab a drink and come catch a vibe.

What's going on: Grab your blankets and some snacks, Comedy In The Park is back for another year. Every Friday this summer, the nonprofit Kickstand will be hosting a free stand-up show at Laurelhurst Park. According to their Instagram post, Portlanders can expect PDX favorites and even surprise guests. The shows run every week from June 7 to Sept. 6.

What's going on: Escape the ordinary this summer at the Festival of Balloons in Tigard. This event isn't just pretty colors in the sky, its an event that provides fundraising opportunities for local nonprofit organizations while celebrating community. You'll find crafts, foods, local vendors and more.

What's going on: Are you a Dolly Parton fan? Well, this is your chance to attend the annual 18th soiree highlighting all things music from the "Backwoods Barbie" Dolly Parton. Iconic hits such as "Jolene" will be covered by local artists, including pop band Ezza Rose, artist Alexa Wiley, pop vocalist Tara Velarde and many more.
