PORTLAND, Oregon — In case you didn't know, it's Mother's Day weekend and lucky for you, the weather is bound to be sunny and warm. If you didn't get the memo, don't fret — here are some things to do to celebrate mom, both indoors and outdoors, in Portland.
Mother's Day brunch and wine tasting
When: May 12, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Knudsen Vineyards, 9419 Northeast Worden Hill Road, Dundee
What's going on: Celebrate Mother's Day with a day trip to Knudsen Vineyards this weekend. Experience Knudsen favorites with a special afternoon tasting. Gourmet brunch boxes will be available for you to enjoy indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference. A reservation deposit of $25 will be required at the time of booking.

AANHPI Heritage Month celebration
When: May 4-31
Where: Lan Su Chinese Garden, 239 Northwest Everett Street, Portland
What's going on: Come out and join Lan Su Chinese Garden as it kicks off its four-week-long celebration of special cultural programs and performances for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage (AANHPI) Heritage Month. Portland's Chinese garden has partnered with more than 20 local cultural organizations to present and explore the history, traditions and arts of AANHPI cultures.

Unique Markets
When: May 11-12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 300 North Winning Way, Portland
What's going on: Calling all Portland baddies! Unique Markets is setting up camp in Portland this weekend. The festival-like market will include 150 small businesses from local independent designers, artists and emerging brands. The entry fee will include a limited-edition tote bag, refreshments and more. This is the perfect indoor market to scout for a Mother's Day gift or to treat yourself.

Mother's Day Birding & Wildflower Festival
When: May 11-12
Where: Silver Falls State Park, 239 Northwest Everett Street, Portland
What's going on: What's a better way to spend Mother's Day than in the outdoors? Oregon State Parks will be hosting a two-day nature filled Mother's Day festival at Silver Falls State Park. There will be many bird walks, wildflower walks and a live raptor presentation. The event is free but parking is $5.

Oregon Humane Society Doggie Dash
When: May 11, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Waterfront Park, 239 Northwest Everett Street, Portland
What's going on: The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) is putting on its biggest fundraiser this year. The Doggie Dash will bring together thousands of animal lovers to help OHS provide lifesaving programs and services to animals in need. Registration is still open, with a $30 fee until May 10 and a $40 fee after that. Kids under 10 can get in free, so bring the whole family!

St. Johns Bizarre
When: May 11, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: St. Johns, Portland
What's going on: The weather is only getting warmer, and many local outdoor markets have launched. St. Johns' uniquely crafted celebration, St. Johns Bizarre, is underway just in time for Mother's Day. The fair will feature live music, crafts and food. The celebration also includes an annual parade. The event is free.

"Fame the Musical"
When: May 10-18, various times
Where: Metropolitan Performing Arts, 6403 East Mill Plain Boulevard, Vancouver, Washington
What's going on: Hit film and international musical "Fame" comes to the Metropolitan Performing Arts this spring. The musical was originally created by David De Silva and is based on the 1980 musical. There's also a book written by Jose Fernandez. The musical follows four teens throughout their high school journey at a performing arts high school. Highlighting the hardship and triumphs that comes with the performing arts high school experience. The production is directed by Greg Shilling, the musical is directed by Melissa Sondergeld-Hood, and it is choreographed by Kemba Shannon. Tickets range from $11-20; people who use EBT SNAP cards can buy tickets for $5 for up to four people.

Bryson Tiller Concert
When: May 11, 8 p.m.
Where: Theater of Clouds, 1 North Center Center Street, Portland
What's going on: Unless you've been living under a rock, earlier this week Live Nation announced $25 tickets to over 70 shows in Oregon during its concert week. One of those shows includes award-winning singer Bryson Tiller, who caught the music industry by storm in 2016 with his hit songs "Don't" and "Exchange," followed by his album "TRAPSOUL" — filled with Tiller's soulful voice riding over smooth 90s R&B nostalgia in trap beats. He'll be hitting the stage in Portland, performing songs off his self-titled album featuring the TikTok viral hit "Whatever She Wants". DJ Nitrane will be opening up Tiller's show.
