Save the date: April 8, 2022 for the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" sequel.
After sending a cryptic tweet on its Twitter account, a release date was announced. It would be logical to assume to the Oscar-winning animated Spider-Man story is getting a sequel!

The animated film was an absolute smash hit. Its unique animation style had fans raving from day one. Following Miles Morales through his life, it shows the moment puberty is sent into overdrive when a spider turns him into Spider-Man.
We got to see an incredible range of Spider-Man characters and I hope they bring that sort of magic into the sequel. They will also have a hard time outdoing themselves on the amazing soundtrack.
However, it'll be great to dive farther into Miles Morales' life in a second film. The movie did an amazing job of showing the character growth of a young kid trying to find himself in strange new surroundings. Not only did Miles have to contend with the spider bite, but a new school, family dynamics, first love and kicking general bad guy butt.
Or maybe they will take a completely different route and we will see someone else take over the Spider-Man helm? Time will tell!
